The last stage in sharing charts is to define the location for the exported information. This is accomplished in the Progress section at the bottom of the Share Charts workspace. Click the Browse button on the far right. This displays the Browse For Folder dialog where the location is selected for the export. In order to create a new location, Click the Make New Folder button. Once the location is selected, Cick OK. in the Progress section, the selected location has been automatically inserted into the Output Path. The last step to share charts is to Click the Export button. This initiates the export process. After clicking Export, settings for the export can't be changed. A green progress bar tracks across the bottom as the export progresses. An export can take seconds to minutes. When it is complete, the green bar is completely full. At the selected, export location, you will find one PDF file for each chart exported. Each is titled with the patient's name, birthdate, and chart number in order to make it easier to find specific exported files. Hopefully, it is apparent these exported files can largely replace most of what now comes out of your old photocopier. If you have faxing software, these exported files can now be directly faxed.
