Bracket Colors

After a click to place the insertion point within an object (i.e. SMARText item/object):

• Blue brackets - indicate the insertion point is within a structured area.
  
• Green brackets - indicate the insertion point is in a free-text (or unstructured) area.

Placing of the Insertion Point

The insertion point can be placed almost anywhere in a SMARText document. The only exception to this is the blank area between the fields. Clicking on/over/within a SMARText item's structured area (e.g. blue header), and then typing, causes a free text comment to be added to the structured item. This is by design.
