Custom Printing Key-Commands

To save time when printing the most commonly used document designs in a practice, it is wise to set up some key-command for quick printing of the 4 most commonly printed documents. Key combination CTRL + F1 thru F4 can be designated to directly print a document type (i.e. design) without having to through the print menus. For example, most clinicians will assign a key-command that will print a simple encounter note by simply pressing 2 keys.  To customize or select the particular document design that is printed with these key-commands.

Click on Tools in the main menu bar and then Click the Options menu item to display the Options dialog. Click the Document Designer list item. On the right side of the Options dialog, a list of 4 keyboard commands are listed and each is associated with a drop down list of available document designs.

 
Click on each down arrow to select the document design to be printed for each key-command.

Once finished setting the options, Click the Close button.

  (Changes will not be saved unti SOAPware is closed and restarted).

Now, a document can be printed without going through the print menu. Simply Press-hold the CTRL key, and Press either the F1, F2, F3 or F4 keys.
