Click on Tools in the main menu and Select Epocrates Formularies

Your selection is now be displayed in the Quick Access tab.

These formularies will be available in the General Demographic section of the patient chart under Epocrates Formulary and in the Rx Manager section under the Defaults tab.
Click to highlight and then press the Remove button

Your selection will be added to Your Formularies list. Close out of Epocrates Online

Located under Start menu>Programs>SOAPware

Use your user id and password that you use for SOAPware to login. The ePrescribing Monitor dialog box will display.

Minimize this dialog box for the day
*This must be running for refills to be sent from the pharmacies. It only needs to be running on one computer.
Select the option to have the refills sent to Providers Task List or in a different Task list from the drop down.
Now you are ready to use the Rx Manager

To search the SOAPware On-line library for this medication, Press Shift + F11
If you have used the medication before in ANY patient's chart thenPress F11
Shift + F11 = Searching the SOAPware On-library
F11= Local Database (your computer)
Double Click on item to select

Rx = a structured medication (SMARText)
Rx (us) = unstructured medication (macro, expander code converted from V4)

After the medication has been placed in the SOAP encounter note field, Right Click on your mouse or Press the F8 Key and Select Rx Manager from the list.
The medication(s) will be displayed in the Rx Pad. Select a pharmacy (if one has not already been chosen as a default) by clicking on the drop down arrow. The address, phone # and fax# will be populated with the information that you filled out for the selected pharmacy.

By Clicking on the View button under EPocrates the medication and formulary will be displayed

After verification, Return to RX Manager and Click on the ERx button to electronically send to the pharmacy.
If a pharmacy is not participating in electronic sending the user has the ability to fax or print from the RxManager screen.

By clicking on the Samples button a statement “Samples Given” will be placed in the Status column.
Click on Update Summary to populate the prescribed medication(s) in the patient’s Summary chart section.
