4. Pricing - Straightforward, Public, and usually lower

We are fairly unique in our openness as to our prices and pricing policies. Most vendors have hidden mechanisms to “nickel and dime” customers over time. In contrast, we make every effort to educate and anticipate system costs over time.

For example, we were about the first in the industry to focus on delivering software based on the number of clinicians and not on the number of users or workstations. The simple reason for this is that we preferred to promote a pricing system that encouraged more workstations and users.

At this moment, you can go to our web site and find the information necessary to calculate costs of acquisition and implementation. We do not attempt to overcome inflated prices by forcing clinicians into a relationship involving less than balanced sales presentations. In other words, we have been fortunate in that our products have more functionality than most, as well as lower in cost, so the result is that it has not been necessary to to participate in the fairly universal methodology  of delivering distorted sales presentations to potential customers. Similarly, we have not had to participate in the entities offering "rankings" of EHR systems. Few of these have straightforward, public, balanced methods for reviewing and ranking products. Again, we thank our user base for this luxury.
