Successful change is not easy. It is hard work, painful and chaotic at times. Just look back on your own life and the positive changes. Did any of the ones bringing value to you not involve some pain and chaos? Change is inevitable in this industry, and those learning the art of change will have far greater likelihood of success.
Today, the alternative to change is to continue to go forward with a “Bleeding-Edge” practice.
What approach are you choosing today? (i.e. What are your actions, not what you intend or say?)
- Are you choosing a deteriorating quality of life?
- Are you choosing to work harder instead of smarter?
- Are you choosing bitterness?
- Is this sometimes compromising quality of care?
- How long are you going to choose to only think and talk about it?
