This is actually a very valid concern for most. Many EHR systems available today are not capable of meeting the emerging legal requirements for electronic records. This is likely to become painfully apparent to many EHR users over the next couple of years. In contrast, SOAPware 2008, unlike many existing legacy and most other low cost systems has an enterprise-capable, advanced security design. We have done much of our recent development focused upon the likely legal standards of the near future, and are promoting clinic workflows that will facilitate the transition. Again, this is a huge risk for many.
