Welcome,
SOAPware came into existence primarily because I found I loved practicing medicine, but hated the increasing hassles I faced. I discovered I could do a better job seeing patients if I could use technology to be more efficient, and that was 20 years ago. Today, it is nothing short of a nightmare for anyone attempting to practice good medicine without using information technology. Sadly, the task of getting the deserved payments from third party payers has become more of a losing battle for many. History has shown that the entities with a combination of superior technology and diligence usually wins battles. We are pleased to be able to deliver the information technology solutions allowing physicians and their pateints to be able to finally have the high ground. The SOAPware team shares a passion to empower the well being of physicians deserving of the trust of their patients. This is accomplished, in part, by offering wise and efficient implementation guidance. The sooner physicians incorporate the methodologies to promote and prove their quality of care, the less they have to be concerned about the dysfunctions of a flawed industry.
The journey from paper to electronic systems is hard work, and it is never easy. But, there are better approaches than those being generally advocated in the industry today. We advocate taking approaches that are far less disruptive and much more transitonal in nature.
Our approach to implemenation is fairly unique:
- We consider approaches to implementations that reduce physician productivity and well-being to be fundamentally flawed.
- We consider approaches to implementations that can't document improvements in quality of care to be fundamentally flawed.
- We are providing a roadmap describing the intersections, twists and turns needing navigation so that you can get to where you desire to arrive.
So, this is the beginning of a journey to a better place. It is not the ususal "big bang" approach that has exploded so many practices you know. Just as you would not likely take a roadtrip without knowledge of the turns and routes, you do not want to take the EHR journey without planning. The information here comes from the experiences of implenting EHR systems in thousands of practices and converting tens of thousands health care professionals. It is doubtful there is any entity, anywhere with more successful experience in this process. Along the journey, it is certainly our intent to learn from you as you learn from us. I trust you will discover that we welcome feedback, as this allows for us to describe faster/shorter routes for future travelers.
Best,
