Below is a list, in early 2009, of items related to Hgb A1c measures. To retrieve a list of the latest items, Type P4P in the Find field, and A1c in the Filter field. Click the Search button.

Based on the particular initiative to which your practice chooses to participate, subsets of the documentation items are likely to be useful. For example, the following items are relevant to reporting in the PQRI program.

A pick list is available for use in docuplates and documentation. In order to demonstrate the PQRI pick list for HgbA1c, Click in Plan field, and Type PQRIdmA1c.

Press the space bar to get insertion of the header for the pick list. Click the Diabetes + Hemoglobin A1C header to display its pick list in Quick Access on the right.

Notice the sub-items in the Item Settings are pick list items to utilize when reporting LDL results in diabetic patients.
