Objective
Implement drug–drug and drug–allergy interaction checks.
Functionality is enabled for these checks for the entire reporting period.
Action-Function
Use SOAPwares e-prescribing functionality via Rx Manager for prescription generation. This meets all the requirements.
Measurement
Self attestation that the functionality is turned on in the EHR.
Stage 1 - Roadmap Discussion-Comments
In order to accompish this requirement, all that is necessary will be to upgrade to SOAPware 2010.2, or a subsequent version, and use its e-prescribing capability during the entire reporting period.
Final Rule: Enable the drug-drug, drug-allergy, and drug-formulary check functionality in SOAPware.
