Sections

Introduction

The Chart Sections editor allows you to add, edit, and remove sections of the patient chart that appear in SOAPware. This gives you great control over customizing your patient charts to fit your practice.

Interface

The Chart Sections editor consists of the Quick Access Buttons for Adding a Section, Removing a Section, and Editing Section Defaults. Below this is the list of current chart sections. The right side contains the text boxes for editing the Title and Menu Title of a section (available when an editable section is selected from the list).

Explaining Chart Sections: Containers and Managers

A Container holds and organizes the various sections of the patient chart, which are known as Managers. They are noted by the expander to the left of their name. To view the contents of a particular Container, Click the plus sign. To hide a Container’s contents, Click the minus sign.

A manager is a chart section that contains documents and information. Examples of a manager include Advanced Directives, Billing Statements, Demographics, etc. Managers must be created within a container.
