Summary to SOAP

Automating data entry

There are several methods that you can use in SOAPware to automatically transfer
information from one section of a chart to another. You can transfer information
from the SOAP Note to the Summary or from the Summary to a SOAP encounter note.

Move data from the Summary to a SOAP note

Just as data can be moved from some SOAP Note fields to the Summary, data can be
moved from some Summary fields to specific SOAP Note fields.

The Summary to SOAP Command copies data in the following manner:

Physical Summary field to Objective SOAP note field

Active Problems Summary field to Assessment SOAP note field

Medications Summary field to Medications SOAP note field

To use the SOAP to Summary command, switch to a Chart View that has both the Summary
and SOAP note view open. Click, Edit, Summary to SOAP.

You will then see a Data Exchange dialog. If you would like to replace the existing
information in the Summary, Click Replace or if you would like to append to the existing
information, Click Append. If you would like to cancel the operation, Click Cancel.
