01. SMARText Quick Access

Definition – An area that displays sub-items and pick lists.

Location – Tools --> SMARText Quick Access

Locking Open the Quick Access Dialog – Tools>SMARText Quick Access>Click and hold onto the QA title bar while dragging to a directional box and blue shading is displayed >let go of the click and hold. The default position is for the Quick Access Dialog is to to be pinned open on the right side of the chart. It can be un-pined so that it will slide out of the way when not needed.

 

 

SMARText Quick Access Buttons:

 

 At the top-right of the QA dialog are 3 icons

Down Triangle presents a menu:

Hide - closes the dialog.

Floating - turns the dialog into a floating window that can be placed anywhere.

Auto Hide - Allows the dialog to slide out of the way (or hide) when not in use.

Pin - Clicking on this toggles between keeping the dialog open or allowing it to auto-hide.

X - Closes the QA dialog.

Edit (CTRL + ALT + E)

Opens the SMARText Item Editor for editing the currently selected item.



Add (CTRL + ALT + N)

Opens the SMARText Item Editor for adding a new SMARText item.



Remove (CTRL + ALT + R)

Removes the currently selected SMARText Items from the database. You will be presented with a deletion confirmation box when using this command.



Note: There is no undo for this feature, please use with caution.



Print List (CTRL + ALT + P)

Prints a list of the currently listed SMARText Items. This feature is useful for creating a reference list of SMARText items. If you would like to narrow the list down, use the SMARText Items Search feature.



Note: This feature only prints out the list of available SMARText Items stored in your local database, it does not include any items available online. To include online items, you will need to add them to your local database.



Download (CTRL + ALT + D)

Downloads the currently selected SMARText Items from the SOAPware on line library to your local SOAPware database. Once an item is downloaded, it will be available regardless of an Internet connection or not. An Internet connection is required to download SMARText Items.



Upload (CTRL + ALT + U)

Uploads the currently selected SMARText Items to the SOAPware Library. After the items are reviewed by our staff, they will be placed in an online database and available for other SOAPware users to download. An Internet connection is required to upload SMARText Items.
