01 Modifying an Existing Document Design in Document Designer

    No headers

You can create a new Document Design by modifying an existing design. This can save you time and effort, especially when you only want to make a few changes.

To do this, select Create New from the Designs menu. The New Document Design dialog box will open.

Select the Copy Of option by clicking the corresponding radio button. Then, select the report you wish to use as the basis for your new design by Clicking on it.

Now, give your new Document a name. Make sure to use something that will both describe the report, and will be easy to remember. For example, if you wanted to create a version of the Simple SOAP Note report that also included the Encounter Date, you could name it "SOAP – Simple with Date".

To make your changes, just click to position the cursor and then type, add Data Items or Macros, and insert empty block commands and images, much as you would when creating a New Document Design.

To save your modified document, select Save from the Designs menu. Your new Document Design will now be added to the list of Available Document Designs, and will be ready for use in SOAPware.
