02 Headers and Footers in Document Designer

    Table of contents
    No headers

You can create headers and footers that include text and graphics. For example, page numbers, dates, a clinic’s logo or letterhead, the report’s title, or the physician’s name. All of these could be in the header or footer of your reports.

In SOAPware, you can give every page of your report the same header and footer, or you can give the first page a special header and footer, and apply another header and footer to the following pages.

To edit the header and footer of a document, open that document in the Document Designer and Click to enter the Headers/Footers tab, as shown below.

To edit the Headers or Footers, Click to place the cursor in the header or footer you wish to edit. Here, you can enter text, images, and data items.

To enter text, simply start typing.

To insert an image, select Image from the Insert menu. A dialog box will open to allow you to select the image you wish to insert. In this box, navigate to the location on your computer where the image is stored. Click to select the image you wish to use, and Click Open. The image will be inserted.

To insert a data item, choose the data item you wish to use from the Data Item menu.

When you are finished making your changes, you can save the document by choosing Save from the Designs menu.

Next, we’ll look at how we can have SOAPware leave out an empty block when printing a report. "Emptying a Block in Document Designer."
