Basic SOAPware Interface Intro

The SOAPware chart is divided into Sections, each section can contain documents,
each document can contain document items. The document item is the smallest contained
unit in the chart.

Chart Sections – Chart Sections subdivide the chart into broad sections. Some sections
include, Demographics, Encounters, and Billing Statements. You can access all of
the Chart Sections, by Clicking Chart, Sections, from the SOAPware menu.

Documents – Chart Sections contain Documents, documents are divided up by date, for
example, in the Drawings section of the Chart, you might have a Drawing dated 1/21,
3/15, and 8/24. You can view all of the Documents contained in a Chart Section in
the Document Table of Contents area in each Section.

Document Items – Each Document is made up of Document Items, one Document can contain
one Document Item or many Document Items. For example, an Encounter can contain a
SOAP encounter note, an image, and a sound file.

Document Demographics – The Document Demographics area of the Chart Section allows
you to view demographic information about each document contained in the section.
You can find the Document Demographics section at the top of each Chart Section.
It is separated from the main document area by a Splitter Bar. The information listed
about each document varies slightly from section to section but typically contains,
Date/Time, Owner, Status, and Description information.

Document Table of Contents – The Document Table of Contents area allows you to view
a list of and navigate between documents within each Chart Section. You can find
the Document Table of Contents area at the bottom of each Chart Section. It is separated
from the main document area by a Splitter Bar. The information listed about each
document varies from section to section, but typically contains Date/Time, Owner,
Status, and Description information.

Splitter Bar – Splitter Bars divide various elements in SOAPware, they allow for
areas to expand and collapse, which helps to optimize the SOAPware display by allowing
you to view information only when you need it.

Docked Tab - All of the Services in SOAPware can be docked to the top, bottom or sides of the
screen. Once a serviced is docked, it can either be pinned in place and held open
or unpinned, which allows it to automatically appear and disappear when the Docked
Tab is hovered over with a mouse or stylus.
