Fields you will encounter in the following menu items.

  • Last Name, First Name, Sex, Birthdate will be demographic data about the patient or provider depending on what the menu item deals with patient or provider.
  • System ID is the ID of the lab company that sent the lab file, for example:  Labcorp, Quest, etc...
  • External ID is used by the lab company to provide a unique identification for patients or providers.  Once a patient\provider is matched with SOAPwareXchangeHL7 the External ID (unless changed) will provide a link so that future files will not have to to be matched to patient\provider.

 

Menu Items

  • Edit/View Unmatched Patients  (Screenshot of window below.)
    • Map will allow you to assign a SOAPware patient to the lab file, creating a link with the External ID.  If the External ID is not changed the the patient's labs will not have to be matched again.  After matching, the patient will be removed from the queue. 
    • Exclude will remove the patient from the Unmatched Patients List, allowing you to process the item at a later time from the the Excluded Patients Queue.  The patient will not repoplulate the Unamtched Patients List unless it is removed from the Excluded Patients Queue.
    • New Chart will allow you to create a ew patient chart for the lab file, if when attempting to match you do not find the the patient is already present in the SOAPware patient chart list.
    • Remove will delete the patient from the queue.  If another lab file with the same patient info is processed the name will repopulate the list.
    • Close will close the Unmatchaed Patients Window.
  • Edit/View Unamatched Physicians (Screenshot of window below.)
    • Map will allow you to assign a SOAPware provider to the physician assigned to the lab file, creating a link with the External ID.  If the External ID is not changed the the physician will not have to be matched again.  After matching, the physician will be removed from the queue. 
    • Exlcude will remove the patient from the Unmatched Physicians List, allowing you to process the item at a later time from the the Excluded Physicians Queue.  The provider will not repoplulate the Unamtched Providers List unless it is removed from the Excluded Patients Queue.
    • Remove will delete the physicain from the queue.  If another lab file with the same assigned physician is processed the name will repopulate the list.
    • Close will close the Unmatched Physicians Window.
  • Edit/View Patient Mappings  (Screenshot of window below.)
    • Delete map will delete an existing SOAPware patient link to the lab system.  This removes the External ID from the system, requiring any lab with that patient info to be rematched by SOAPwareXchangeHL7 automatically or manually through the queue if a match can not be found.
    • Close will close the Mapped Patients Window.
  • Edit/View Physician Mappings  (Screenshot of window below.)
    • Delete map will delete an existing SOAPware provider link to the lab system.  This removes the External ID from the system, requiring any lab with that assigned physician to be rematched by SOAPwareXchangeHL7 automatically or manually through the queue if a match can not be found.
    • Close will close the Mapped Physicians Window.

    • Remove will delete the excluded physicain from the queue.
    • Close will close the Excluded Physicians Window.
  • Edit/View Unmapped Messages hl7-unmapped-messages.png
    • Empty List will delete all messages that are listed.  Please have all needed messages Resent before clicking Empty List because they can not be recovered. 
    • Resend will send the lab file back through SOAPwareXchangeHL7 for processing. 
    • Cancel will close the Unrecognized Messages Window.
