Active design work began in 2004. The basic, initial SMARText items were released at the end of 2006. 2007 and 2008 have seen a rapid evoluition of additional SMARText types and functionalities. For the remainder of 2008 and in 2009, the focus will be on filling in the libraries of items, adding additional hidden coding system identifiers, and simplification of what is now rather complex. Up until mid-2008, the focus had to be on evolution and solidification. Now it is on simplification and explanation. Most of the complexities can be hidden from typical users, but the more than average users will quickly want to take a look under the hood. SOAPedia will be the best source for the additional documentation, and explanations over time.

August, 2008 - The primary focus at present is on order entry SMARText items. We are attempting to get the 90% of what is most commonly ordered into the library. Once this is completed, then the process of creating better docuplates is anticipated. Presently, the docuplate library is a bit less than ideal. The focus, to date, has been on creating a library of building blocks to use in the suggested docuplates.
