Rule Sets will now allow extra options to be specified so a rule set can be for patients in a specific age range and/or gender.
There is a need for specifying who a rule set applies to and then to have these auto-applied to a chart.
This will impact any user wanting to take advantage of this in Health Maintenance. You can continue using it in the old way if you wish.
Open up the display to edit current Rule Sets (Tools->Health Maintenance Rules and Sets).
Select the Rule Sets tab page.
Select a rule set and click the edit button at the top.
Notice the extra options now to specify the Start Age, Variance, End Age and Gender.
![]()
Specify these options for the rule set and click Save.
You can specify a start age but not an end age or an end age but not a start age.
If you select the blank gender, that will not filter patients based on gender.
Variance is used to specify when to start matching this rule set. So if a rule set is for patients age 6 - 18 with a variance of 1 year, you will be notified for this rule set when the patient is 5.
