Faxing support has been added to SOAPware to allow users the ability to fax a document design rather than printing it.
Users want a way to directly fax a document design through SOAPware.
This adds buttons to the "Available Templates" display and the Print Preview dialog.
To Fax to somebody, they must be setup as a contact with a phone number. Also since this sends through our server, you must have an active internet connection.
- Open a chart.
- Fill in the information needed that your document design will need.
- Select Docutainers -> Print.
- Select the Design you want to Fax.
- Click the Fax button.
- Select the information to send. Sending Provider, Sending To, Subject Regarding.
- Click the Fax Button and you're done!!!
You can fax from two different displays. The "Available Templates" display and the Print Preview dialog. The Available Templates display is opened by Docutainers -> Print menu item. The Print Preview is opened by selecting Preview from the Available Templates display.
To be really useful, there should be a capture fax feature--that is, I can click a button that says I want to fax all these, then go anywhere in the chart and select pages, add a cover sheet, and send it all.
Without these features, your claim that this service eliminates the need for a fax modem and fax software is pretty weak. Esp since you can get a modem and software that will do all that for about the price of your annual fee. And you can use that software with the rest of your programs, not just SW.
Want to make it REALLY useful? Do the above, and have it save a record consisting of the cover sheet, an acknowledgement from the receiving fax, and POINTERS TO the documents faxed. Then at any given time, I can see what I faxed to someone, without having to save another copy of all the images I sent.
