If you have SOAPware 4.X & ACCESS Databases.
- Reboot your system. Many problems with network connections, disk access, and General Protection Faults can be solved with a simple reboot.
- If you're on ACCESS Databases & receiving "ODBC Microsoft Access Driver Logon Failed" errors, first check if you have network access to your databases. We find that many times ODBC errors are caused by a drop in network connection. Open your network browser (i.e. Windows Explorer or Network Neighborhood) and see if you have a network connection to your data folder. If not, you must restore the access to your database before SOAPware can be used. For more information download the video "How to setup SOAPware databases on a network" at http://www.docs.com/Users/videolibrary.htm
- If you're on ACCESS Databases & receiving "SW Charts needs to be repaired" or any data "needs to be repaired" errors, then one or all of your databases need to be repaired. This repair can be accomplished by going to your ODBC manager in the Control Panel and clicking on the SW Charts, or any DSN that starts with SW data, and then clicking on repair. You can watch a video on this subject by downloading "How to repair a corrupt database" at http://www.docs.com/Users/videolibrary.htm
- If you're on ACCESS Databases & receiving "How do I connect the data across the network" or "I am not seeing the same database as others on the network" are also common questions. These can be easily solved by mapping a network drive to the main set of databases, on the data serving computer and running psetup.exe from that directory. For more information download "How to setup SOAPware databases on a network" at http://www.docs.com/Users/videolibrary.htm
