Where is the Message Section

    Table of contents
    No headers

DO NOT USE THE MESSAGES SECTION, USE TASKS MANAGER WHENEVER POSSIBLE.

The Message Section is a legacy function, and it, similar to Pulled Charts, should be considered to be obsolete for most uses. Most of the functions performed with Messages in previous versions of SOAPware should be moved to the Tasks Manager. The only exception to this is for the recording of communications that need to be permanently retained in the chart that are private, and are not to be transmitted outside of the practice.

After usual use of the Message Section in a chart, you update SOAPware 2008 and go back to read a document in that section - yet you can NOT find the section any longer.  The section has not been removed, its been disabled in Security, as you see in the screenshot below.

    SOLUTION.

To make the Message Section viewable again, do the following.  Log into SOAPware with the user name "Administrator" or with a user name with security access.  Then  go to:  Tools > Security > click + next to Users, it will expand > click + next to your User name, it will expand > click + next to Encounters, it will expand, select Messages > now click "Allow All" or select the acces you desire for yourself or other SOAPware Users.

This process will need to be performed on either an entire Group, Role, or individual User Name.  To change an entire Group\Roles, you would start in Groups\Roles instead of Users.
