Sub-items not showing for medications?

If you have a medication that is missing the sub-items (such as frequency), this is often a case where the sub-item is a part of the Sig. See the example below where the frequency is missing from the item and cannot be retrieved when managing the medication's sub-items.

To remedy this situation, what you need to do is go to Tools --> Options --> Structured Rx, and click on the Headers tab:

If you want to see the Sig header sub-item, then you need to remove the check from "Visible only when empty" for the Sig header as seen below:

Once this has been done for all the headers you wish to see as a part of the medication's Sig, they will appear in your documentation:
