Q: Why can I no longer access my charts?

Situation

I am logging in as the administrator user like in previous versions, but in SOAPware 2008, I can no longer access my patient data.

Solution

This is a security mechanism as the built-in administrator user should only be performing administrative duties that an IT person would.  They should not be able to access your patient data.  Instead you need to login with users designed to have clinical access.   You can do this in the Security Administration dialog.

Notes

 This change was related to CCHIT guidelines.

 Note: All users must have both an assigned Role and be assigned to at least one provider or the log in will fail.
