    Q: Can you customize where the chart sections are within the chart navigator?
    A: No, it is alphabetized by Document Manager and chart sections.

     

    Q:In Document Designer, can we type insurance, and pull insurance information from SOAPware?
    A:Yes, you would need to put the commands on your form in order for this information to come over.

     

    Q: Can the scheduler leave a message for the patient to remind them of their appointment?
    A: No, but you can run a search for patient's appointments.

     

    Q: In Document Designer, can you list more than one answer like a pick list?
    A: Not very effectively. You would want to list something and place bracket in front or behind.

     

    Q: Can I change the colors within the graphing area in vital signs?
    A: No, those are hard coded in.

     

    Q: If we use the SOAPware Scheduler, does it open a patient's chart from the scheduler?
    A: Yes.

     

    Q: If you have a scanned image and a doctor has signed it off, but the doctor would like to add a note for the MA, can the doctor make it a task-even if it is signed off?
    A: Yes, you would want the doctor to do a manual task, or he/she could do an addendum and a task would automatically be generated. Remember that the addendum is a document that needs to be signed off.

     

    Q: If you set your login window to remember the last log in, can someone else log in, or does the last person have to log in first?
    A: No, anyone can erase the name and put in their own log in and password.

     

    Q: Do docuplates or templates carry over from SOAPware version 5 to SOAPware version 2009 during the conversion?
    A: Yes, and going from V5 to 2009 does not require a conversion. You would, however, need to contact the sales department to register for 2008/09-as there are agreements price changes.

     

    Q: What happens if you scan information into the wrong patient's chart?
    A: You will want to delete out the scan and re-scan the document into the intended patient's chart.

     

    Q: Can I communicate with a patient via e-mail/fax from SOAPware directly regarding ie--they are due a flu shot?
    A: Not directly from SOAPware at this time.

     

    Q: How would you copy and paste selected structured items from the SOAPnote to the Summary or vice versa?
    A: You would double click on the header of the structured item and can copy and paste. You could also double click on the header and can drag and drop this item onto another field header.

     

    Q: How can we design practice overhead-like Dr. name, address, phone number etc?
    A: You would create a header for any form within Document Designer.

     

    Q: Can you create user groups for task assignments like a nurse group?
    A: Yes.

     

    Q: Can I change/items to financial class?
    A: Yes, through tools-->list options.

     

    Q: Can I add items to the insurance types?
    A: Yes, through tools-->list options.

     

    Q: Do we have an interface with any lab machines such as a CBC machine?
    A: Not at this time. There are no immediate plans to interface with lab machines.

     

    Q: Can a nurse sign off scanned or imported documents?
    A: No. Only those with a SOAPware license and that are providers will be able to sign off.

     

    Q: Does the overwrite button within the docuplates manager remove or change self-created docuplates?
    A: No. Instead, it allows you to update the Smartext items within a designated docuplate.

     

    Q: When running SOAPware remotely through X-link, how do we install printers and scanners to use within SOAPware?
    A: For SHS customers, you will need to get with the IT department.

     

    Q: What are the levels of licensing?
    A: Physician, PA, NP, or anyone that owns a SOAPware license and charges for their services.

     

    Q: On a document task, can I add a choice as well as add a description?
    A: It is possible to add to the drop down lists for priority or action/status, but not to add a column.

     

    Q: If we print to a central printer, how do we prevent printing multiple copies of the same notes. Is there a clue from the SOAP chart that I have already printed something?
    A: There is not an alert that lets you know you have already printed a document.

     

    Q: How would you fax a SOAP Note directly to a PCP or a referring provider with one or two clicks.
    A: You would need to acquire fax software and then designate a document design to use as well as adding the fax software to the printer dialogue.

     

    Q: How would you order an x-ray, specific lab, CT etc..on practice overhead paper and fax to the hosptial or the patient?
    A: Create a document design and make sure the printer dialogue window displays.

     

    Q: Can we fax and/or print multiple encounters at the same time to the Primary Physician?
    A: Yes, by using chart share.

     

    Q: Can we add notes to the Summary section?
    A: Yes, it is possible to add your own field headers to the summary section.

     

    Q: What do the down arrows in SMARText Items mean?
    A: Those Smartext items are on the on-line library and need to be downloaded onto your local if you would like to use them.

     

    Q: Can you scan a copy of a well child visit, age specific, into a new SOAP Note and edit it after it is scanned?
    A: No, because a scan is an image. It is possible to do annotations, but nothing will be searchable. At some point, "Forms Builder" will be a tool that will accommodate that type of function.

     

    Q: Can I change the default sentence under the ROS section? Can you edit a Smartext item, as well as their sub items?
    A: Yes. If you alter a docuplate that you would like to become your default, you will need to re-set your default docuplate.

     

    Q: After a conversion from 4.0-5.0-many dates for SOAP Notes are mixed up and not in chronological order. How would you straighten out these dates?
    A: Updating to 2008 should straighten out this issue.

     

    Q: How do you print out that SOAP Note that you had just created?
    A: There is a printer button below the lower splitter bar--or you can use the printer icon on the common toolbar.

     

    Q: Can you still set-up a letterhead for a form to print out on?
    A: Yes. You will want to designate a printer which contains your letterhead paper.

     

    Q: Can you print out just a prescription?
    A: Yes.

     

    Q: Can you use mail merge to create letters for Health Management patient reminder letters?
    A: Yes, however, you will want to contact the IT department.

     

    Q: Can we scan using remote desktop connection in to primary server?
    A: You have to have a shared folder to scan from one desktop to another. Or, you can get remote scanning software which can be expensive.
