• Active Provider

Located under the SOAPware® menu

Displays a dialog box of all providers that have a SOAPware® license

  

• Animations

Located under the view menu

When turned on, the bubble bar icons will balloon when the cursor passes over them

  

• Archiver

Located under the Chart menu

Remove a chart from the Chart rack and place

in the Archiver area.

  

• Assessment field

A field in the SOAP enounter note where the diagnosis for the patient should be placed.

  

• Chart Layouts

Located under the View menu

There are (2) default chart layouts listed

And the ability to create new Chart Layouts for

users

  

• Chart Navigator

A choice under the Chart menu that allows you to access all areas of the patient’s chart

You can view a Linear view or a Timeline view

Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl + B

  

• Check for Updates

Located under the Tools menu

Will update your computer to the most recent release of SOAPware®.Updating must be done on each computer and the server being used.

  

• Customize

Located under the Tools menu

Contains the Toolbars, Commands and Options tabs to customize these areas.

Also contains the icons that can be individually placed on the toolbar.

  

• Chart Rack

A command found under the Chart menu. Contains all patient charts. Can create a new chart from here or print a list of all patients by letter or all charts.

  

  

• Clear All SOAPware® Fields

Located under the Edit menu

Allows the user to clear all fields of a SOAP encounter note at one time

  

• Close

Located under the menu item Chart

Allows you to close a chart placing it into the Pulled chart list

  

• Contacts

Located under the Tools menu

This the area to add all referral, consultants, pharmacies, etc. to be pulled into a document design report

  

• Docuplates

Located under the Docutainers menu

Allows for a shortcut of common documentation that serves as a master or pattern from which other similar items can be made.

  

• Document Designer

Located under the Tools menu

Allows for documents to be created for printing

  

• EPocrates Formularies

Located under the Tools menu

Set up the formularies for your state.

  

• Exit SOAPware®

Located under the SOAPware® menu

Closes the SOAPware® Program

  

• Help

Located on the menu toolbar

Contains the information regarding the version of SOAPware® that you are running, training videos by subject, a help dictionary and an informational page with news from the SOAPware® team.

  

• List Options

Located under the Tools menu

Displays all of the areas in SOAPware® that the drop down list can be customized. Can add to an area, edit or delete.

  

• Logout

Located under the SOAPware® menu

Closes SOAPware® and displays the User Login screen

  

• Macro = A macro is a shortcut key combination. For example, a macro allows one to hit one letter and have it execute a few different commands.
  

  

• New Encounter

Located under the Docutainers menu

Will create a new SOAP encounter note (Encounter) into the patient’s chart that is displayed.

  

• Objective

The field in a SOAP enocunter note that contains the provider’s exam, results of lab, testing, etc...

  

• Options

Located under the Tools menu

Displays the areas that can be customized to fit the specific needs of the user/clinic.

  

• Pick Lists

A SMARText item that allows you to create a header with a drop down list of options.

  

  

• Provider Manager

Located under the Tools menu

Displays all providers that have current SOAPware® licenses. The information in this section is pulled over from the information entered when registering for the license. It can be edited from here.

  

• Pulled Charts

Located under the Chart menu

Contains all patient charts that have not been filed into the Chart Rack.

  

• Refile

Located under the Chart menu

Will refile the chart that is currently displayed on the screen.

  

• Remove Unused Items

Located under the Edit menu

Will remove the underlines from a Docuplate that have not been marked either (+) or (-).

  

• Rx Manager

Located under the Docutainers menu and by right clicking in the Medication field of a SOAP enounter note.

Displays the screen to fill out to send the medication electronically to the pharmacy.

  

• SOAPware®

Located on the menu bar

Contains a list of domains within SOAPware®.

  

• SOAPware Icons

• In SOAPware the icons with the green arrows indicates creating an item.

• The icon with the “I” indicates editing an item.

• The icon with the red “X” indicates deleting an item

  

• SMARText = a computer language that allows you to create macros and pick lists to facilitate faster documentation
